Forward Composites collaborates with its Customers to progress their concept ideas, through to engineered real-world solutions, including structural design with supporting documentation.
An example of this approach is the UK Watchkeeper programme. Forward Composites supplies the airframe for this programme as a 23 piece full-size aircraft kit. This kit is comprised of over 800 composite components bonded and assembled into higher level assemblies. Forward is also engaged in the ongoing improvement to the platform now supporting in service upgrades.
Managing Director Paul Jackson says "Forward Composites are proud to be a major partner in this essential defence role. It is very rewarding to know that our products are helping to support our troops who are operating under extreme and challenging conditions. We manufacture the structure for the highly sophisticated James Bond technology which is obviously a key element to the program."
We offer options - Reducing any platform's structural weight without compromising strength enables choices for how to use this additional mass from as simple as increased speed to increased electronics on board providing enhanced functionality, to greater payload available for fuel to increase range, or more equipment for even troops to be deployed.
Forward Composites has the ability to reverse-engineer existing structures to provide retrofit and modification options to the defence market.
We are proud to serve some of the major players in the defence market.
